Amit Shah urges nation to work towards 'Swachh Bharat' on PM Modi's birthday

New Delhi: On the 67th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah has urged everybody to organise and join cleanliness initiatives, and devote the day to the ' Swachh Bharat Mission', adding that the mission is very special to the former.

"I urge you all to organise or join any cleanliness initiative and share your photos on the Narendra Modi Mobile App," wrote Shah, in his blog.

He concluded by conveying his message of 'Swachhata Hi Seva' movement.

"Let us strengthen the ' Swachhata Hi Seva' movement with our active and continuous participation so that we can fulfil Mahatma Gandhi's dream of a clean India," he said.

As Prime Minister Modi turns 67 today, major political entities sent in their wishes to him.

Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014 after the BJP won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Since taking office, Prime Minister Modi has hit headlines for having made major policies for the country, which have received varied responses, with few sections welcoming the decisions, while others opposing them.

Patna High Court dismisses RJD's petition against JD(U)-BJP government in Bihar

The Patna High Court on Monday dismissed a petition by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) against the formation of new Bihar government by Janata Dal (United) – Bharatiya Janata Party.

The petition was filed by RJD legislator Saroj Yadav's petition on Friday, 28 July.

The court accepted the petition on Friday but refused to put a stay on the Nitish Kumar's floor test, stating that hearing won't be possible before July 31.

Last week, Nitish Kumar resigned from the position of Bihar Chief Minister, alleging corruption charges against RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's son – Tejashwi Yadav, and dissolved the grand alliance between JD(U) and RJD. Within hours, Nitish was back in office with a new coalition with old ally BJP.

Protesting against these out-of-control developments, RJD leadership filed a petition in Patna High Court.

Meanwhile, BJP's Sushil Modi took charge as the new Bihar Deputy Chief.

“We'll take Bihar towards development with the same pace with which it was progressing in 7.5 years of NDA rule,” said Sushil Modi.

- सीईओ मुनोज ने कहा, "पैसेंजर्स को जबरदस्ती सीट खाली करने के लिए सिक्युरिटी का इस्तेमाल नहीं किया जाएगा और जो पैसेंजर्स अपनी सीट पर बैठे हैं, उन्हें फ्लाइट ओवरबुक्ड होने पर सीट नहीं छोड़नी पड़ेगी। पर्मानेंट समाना खो जाने की स्थिति में नो क्वेश्चन आस्क्ड पॉलिसी के तहत पैसेंजर्स को 1500 डॉलर यानी करीब 94 हजार रुपए दिए जाएंगे।"

पहले क्या कहा था यूनाइटेड एयरलाइंस ने
- इस घटना पर पहले सीईओ मुनोज ने स्टाफ को लिखे गए लेटर में पैसेंजर के साथ हुए बदसलूकी के लिए माफी नहीं मांगी थी। न्यूज एजेंसी के मुताबिक, उन्होंने लेटर में लिखा था, "पैसेंजर ने सिक्युरिटी ऑफिसर्स को पहले वॉर्निंग दी थी। जब पैसेंजर को माफी मांगते हुए प्लेन से उतरने के लिए कहा गया तो उसने मना कर दिया। वो तेज आवाज में चिल्लाने लगा और क्रू मेंबर्स के इंस्ट्रक्शन को मानने से मना कर दिया। यह कंपनी के लिए एक सीख है। वो इस हालात से निपटने के लिए स्टाफ की ओर से अपनाए गए तरीके से प्रभावित हैं और उनके साथ खड़े हैं।"

- न्यूज एजेंसी के मुताबिक 15 अप्रैल को मिशेल हॉल और उनकी मंगेतर अम्बर मैक्सवेल दोपहर में ह्यूस्टन से फ्लाइट नंबर 1737 में चढ़े थे, दोनों के साथ उनके दोस्त भी थे। जॉर्ज बुश इंटरकॉन्टिनेंटल एयरपोर्ट पर उन्हें प्लेन से उतारे जाने की घटना हुई।
- ह्यूस्टन के KHOU 11 न्यू चैनल के मुताबिक, एयरलाइंस ने कहा कि कपल को ज्यादा महंगी सीटों पर बैठने से मना किया गया था, क्योंकि उन्होंने उसके लिए पेमेंट नहीं किया था। इसके बावजूद कपल ने दोबारा इसकी कोशिश की। इसके अलावा कपल ने फ्लाइट क्रू के इन्स्ट्रक्शंस भी फालो नहीं किए।

Andhra may convert INS Viraat into tourist hotspot

Mumbai: Andhra Pradesh hopes to convert the recently decommissioned aircraft carrier INS Viraat into a "dedicated tourist attraction".

The Andhra government on Friday issued tender notices inviting bids to appoint consultants for preparing a techno-economic feasibility report and detailed cost estimates to refurbish and convert INS Viraat into a tourism hotspot.

On May 12, 1987, she was taken over and commissioned under the White Ensign of Indian Navy and rechristened INS Viraat.

In her previous avatar, she served as the flagship of the South Atlantic Task Force during the commencement of the 1982 Falklands War when her aircraft operated round the clock, units from the ship destroyed many enemy aircraft in the air and surface.

Britain`s Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, once served on HMS Hermes, which boasted some of the most modern and intriguing facilities and amenities on board for the officers and sailors manning her.

It may be recalled that her iconic predecessor, India`s first aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant had languished for nearly 17 years with no takers and had become dangerous to maintain.

Finally, despite all efforts to save her, she was broken down and sold off as metal scrap in November 2014 by a Mumbai shipbreaker.

उन्‍होंने कहा कि उस आयोग में भी एक सैनी था, जो कुमारी सैलजा के इशारों पर काम कर रहा था। इसी कारण सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने जाटों के आरक्षण को रिपोर्ट के आधार पर खारिज कर दिया था। वह यहां आयोजित जाट सम्‍मेलन को संबोधित कर रहे थे। जाअ आंदोलन के दौरान हुए चंदे के विवाद पर मलिक ने कहा कि संगठन से निकाले गए लोग समाज को बांटने का काम कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने भरत सिंह बैनीवाल, सूबे सिंह समैण  और धर्मपाल धारीवाल को सरकार का एजेंट बताया।

जातियों को बांटने का किया जा रहा प्रयास

मलिक ने कहा कि चुनाव नजदीक होने के कारण जनता को जातियों में बांटने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। सर छोटूराम पर सैनी द्वारा की गई टिप्पणी के जवाब में कहा कि सांसद ज्योतिबा फुले के अनुयायी होते तो वह दीन बंधु सर छोटूराम के नाम अपशब्द न कहते। सैनी को उनकी सभी साजिशों का जवाब 27 अगस्त को झज्जर में होने वाली भाईचारा रैली में दिया जाएगा।

भाजपा से नहीं कोई दुश्मनी

मलिक ने कहा कि उनकी भाजपा से कोई दुश्मनी नहीं, लेकिन वह सांसद को पार्टी से बाहर करे, वरना जाट भाजपा से दूर हो जाएंगे। इस अवसर पर उनके साथ संगठन प्रभारी अशोक बलहारा, प्रदेश प्रवक्ता रामभगत मलिक, प्रदेश उपाध्यक्ष बलवान सिंह कोटड़ा, जिला अध्यक्ष प्रवीन किच्छाना मौजूद थे।

This is, however, surprising because globally, including here, there is no consistent data that proves retail investors gained from investing in equities, as their general tendency is to enter the market amidst boom and exit during distress.
