Haryana suspends 120 workers; roadways strike proceeds

Chandigarh: Haryana`s Transport Department suspended 120 workers of the state roadways on Wednesday as the strike by the roadways staff proceeded for the third day, incapacitating open transport in the state.

Bugged individuals said that they were hindered and couldn't achieve different spots for work and employments inferable from the strike.

"This (strike) happens everytime. The legislature and the workers realize that they will in the end take a seat and talk and resolve the issues. In any case, nobody is irritated that workers are being pestered," said Sheela Kumari, an occupant of Ambala.

Those suspended included pioneers of different roadways employees` unions.

Haryana Roadways transports did not utilize from the 24 transport stops over the state on Wednesday.

Haryana Roadways Workers Union President Sarbat Singh Punia said that the striking representatives couldn't be cowed around intimidatory strategies like suspension.

In the interim, state Director General of Police (DGP) K.P. Singh said that in perspective of the strike by the state roadways representatives, officers in the sum total of what locale have been coordinated to keep up lawfulness and guarantee that no individual makes any mischief open property.
